Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, in large part because it doesn’t involve gifts. I also love gathering with groups of good people around a tasty meal and a bottle of wine any time of the year. This year marked the third Thanksgiving in a row that I haven’t spent with my family and I was feeling a bit melancholy about it. I convinced BK that we should just have our own Thanksgiving meal this year, complete with all the traditional dishes. Our friends and neighbors Matt and Lola came over with their amazing toddler daughter Beatrice and our friend Johann road his bike down from Mountain View to share the day with us. It was a lovely day overall.
